About the Project
The State of Maine Housing Data Portal is an initiative of MaineHousing, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, the Maine Office of Community Affairs, and the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. The Portal was developed by HR&A Advisors, Inc., in consultation with housing stakeholders from across Maine and with the authorization of the Legislature under P.L. 2021, ch. 672 (LD 2003).

MaineHousing
The Maine State Housing Authority (MaineHousing) addresses problems of unsafe, unsuitable, overcrowded, and unaffordable housing. At its core, the agency couples the efficiencies of the private financial markets with public purpose goals to provide affordable home ownership and rental housing opportunities for Maine people.

The Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future
The Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future (GOPIF) fosters collaboration across state government to help solve Maine’s most important long-term challenges utilizing data-driven, innovative policy solutions.

The Department of Economic and Community Development
The Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) works with statewide and local partners, private industry and small businesses to enhance and sustain economic prosperity in Maine.

The Maine Office of Community Affairs
The Maine Office of Community Affairs (MOCA) is a one-stop-shop to assist municipalities, Tribal governments and regional planning organizations in building a more resilient future.
